About ALAPARC

Although Alabama contains one of the most diverse herpetofaunas in North America, amphibian and reptile populations face a myriad of threats and pressures in the state. Alabama Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ALAPARC) looks forward to working under the auspices of Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC) to:

  1. Foster collaboration and networking among those interested in facilitating the conservation of Alabama's amphibians and reptiles, and

  2. Establish, encourage, and support initiatives addressing critical gaps in our knowledge of Alabama amphibians and reptiles.

ALAPARC is chaired by David Steen and Sean Graham and is a chapter within Southeast PARC, co-chaired by Betty Crump and Gabrielle Graeter.
